Ingredients
1 quart ground tomatoes, any kind
3 cups sugar
¼ ground lemon
Method
Use any kind of tomato-ripe, green, pear shaped, cherry or plum tomatoes. Wash the tomatoes and cut out any imperfections and put through a food chopper. For each quart of ground tomatoes add 3 cups sugar and 1/4 of a ground up lemon. Cook, stirring frequently, until thick and clear. Pour into sterilized glasses and seal or cover with wax.
