Ingredients

CRUST

½ cup butter, melted

1 cup soda cracker crumbs

FILLING

3 onions, diced

¼ cup butter

1 egg, beaten

¾ cup milk

1 teaspoon salt

½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded

½ cup bacon bits

dash paprika

Method

Crust:

1. Mix crumbs and melted butter and pat into 9″ pie pan.

Pie filling:

1. Saute onions in butter until soft but not browned.

2. Slightly beat one egg and add to it milk and salt.

3. Place sauteed onions over cracker crumbs.

4. Pour milk and egg mixture over onions.

5. Cover with shredded cheese.

6. Sprinkle bacon bits and sprinkle with paprika.

7. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.

8. Serve warm. It can be reheated again just before serving as well.
