Ingredients

 3 cups flour

 1 teaspoon salt

 ½ teaspoon sugar

 1 cup lard, or 1 1/2 cups Crisco

 1 egg

 1 teaspoon vinegar

 5 tablespoons water

Method

Mix flour, salt and sugar. Cut in shortening. Beat egg, vinegar and water. Add to flour mixture. The sugar makes flakier pie crust. This is enough pastry for 2 double crust pies.
