Ingredients

unbaked 9″ pie shell

 ⅓ cup granulated sugar

 ⅓ cup light brown sugar

 3 tablespoons flour

 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

 6 large Tart apples (Rome Beauty)

 2 tablespoons butter

TOPPING

 1 cup lightly spooned flour

 ½ cup brown sugar

 1 teaspoon cinnamon

 ½ cup butter

CRUST

 1 ¾ cups flour

 1 tablespoon sugar

 ½ teaspoon salt

 ½ cup vegetable shortening

 3-4 tablespoons cold water

Bake in 400 degree oven for 30 minutes or until crust and topping are nicely browned.
