Ingredients

 1 baked pie shell

 1 can sweetened condensed milk

 2 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate

 ¼ teaspoon salt

 ½ cup water

 ½ teaspoon vanilla

 ½ cup cream , whipped

Method

1. Place milk in double boiler. Add chocolate and salt. Cook over rapidly boiling water, stirring constantly until mixture thickens, about 4-8 minutes.

2. Stir water in gradually, keeping mixture smooth. Cook until it thickens, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Pour into shell. Cool at room temperature for 30 minutes. Then chill in refrigerator at least 3 hours. Decorate with whipped topping.
