Ingredients

 4 quarts cucumbers, peeled and sliced

 1 quart onions, sliced

 2-4 green peppers, chopped

 ¾ cup salt

 2 ½ quarts water

SYRUP

 4 cups sugar

 4 cups vinegar

 4 teaspoons turmeric

 4 teaspoons mustard seed

 4 teaspoons celery seed

 1 red pepper or pimento

Method

1. Combine cucumber, onions, green pepper, salt and water. Let stand over night.

2. Bring syrup to a boil. Add cucumber mixture and let simmer 5-10 minutes.

3. Seal at once in jars.
