I’m a big fan of beet pickles. Mom’s were the best.

Ingredients

 2 cups water

 2 cups sugar

 2 cups vinegar

 1 teaspoon whole cloves

 1 teaspoon allspice

 1 lemon, thinly sliced

 1 tablespoon cinnamon

beets, sliced

Method

Bring the mixture to a boil and pour over cut up beets in jar.
