This is a recipe from Shirley.

Ingredients

 5 cups flour

 1 pound lard

 1 ½ teaspoons salt

 1 cup warm milk

 1 package yeast, dissolved in milk

 2 eggs, beaten

 1 can evaporated milk

apple pie filling

 4 tablespoons sugar

 1 tablespoon flour

Method

Mix flour and lard like pie crust. Add milk and yeast, eggs and evaporated milk. Mix well and place in refrigerator. Will keep for about 5 days. Take dough the size of a small egg. Roll out like a pancake using 4 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon flour to roll in. Place 1 tablespoon apple pie filling on half. Fold over and press closed. Bake at 375 degrees until brown.
