Ingredients

 8 cups sliced fresh apricots, about 3 pounds

 ⅓ cup white sugar

 ¼ cup apricot brandy or orange juice

 ¼ cup plus 3 tablespoons flour, divided

 1 teaspoon lemon juice

 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped

 1 cup rolled oats

 ¼ cup brown sugar

 1 teaspoon cinnamon

 ⅓ cup butter, softened

Method

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Gently toss apricots in sugar, brandy and lemon juice. Sprinkle apricots with 3 tablespoons flour. Gently toss and spread mixture into butter 8″ square pan.

2. Place 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts in bowl. Add oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and 1/4 cup flour. Using pastry blended cut butter into oats mixture. Add remaining chopped nuts. Sprinkle oat-nut mixture over apricots. Bake about 20 minutes until apricots are tender and crust is brown.
