Ingredients
1 cup butter
1 ½ cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tablespoon grated orange peel
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon soda
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup buttermilk
FROSTING
2 tablespoons butter
juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons orange juice
2 cups powdered sugar
grated orange peel
Method
Cream butter. Add sugar gradually. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each
addition. Add orange peel and vanilla. Beat until light. Add dry ingredients with
buttermilk, starting and ending with dry ingredients. Chill dough one hour. Drop by
teaspoons on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10 minute. Frost.
