Ingredients
¾ cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
6 tablespoons molasses
2 level teaspoons soda, in 2 teaspoons hot water
2 ½ cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ginger
¼ teaspoon cloves
sugar, to dip
Method
Combine. Roll into balls, dip in sugar. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
