Ingredients
4 ounces large shell macroni, about 12 shells
2 tablespoons celery, finely chopped
2 tablespoons butter
4 teaspoons corn starch
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
1 cup beer
1 cup shredded American cheese
1 tablespoon parsley
1 ½ cups chopped cooked chicken
Method
1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain; set aside.
2. Meanwhile, cook celery and onion in butter until tender. Stir in cornstarch and
mustard. Add 1/2 cup of the beer all at once. Cook and stir until thickened and
bubbly. Add cheese and parsley; stir until cheese melts. Stir chicken into 1/2 cup of
the sauce.
3. Fill shells with chicken mixture; place in greased 10 x 6 x 2 baking dish. Add
remaining beer to remaining cheese mixture in saucepan. Pour sauce over
filled shells. Bake, covered, in 375 degree oven for 20 minutes.
4. Uncover, bake 10 to 15 minutes more. If desired, garnish with parsley.
