I love this frosting. It reminds me of our birthday cakes when we were kids.
Ingredients
2 egg whites
1 ½ cups sugar
2 teaspoons corn syrup
¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
⅓ cup cold water
dash salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Method
1. Place egg whites, sugar, syrup, cream of tartar, water and salt in double boiler.
2. Beat the mixture until blended before you start cooking.
3. Beat the mixture constantly for seven minutes when the water in the double
boiler starts boiling.
4. Remove from the water.
5. Add vanilla.
6. Keep beating for 2 or 3 minutes.
7. Frost cake.
