This recipe card is very old and yellow. There are quite a few of these in the file and they are all typewritten. This one is signed by a Mrs. John Eckstrom. Either Mom or Grandma must have been in a recipe chain!

Ingredients:

2 cups brown sugar

1/2 cup butter

1 1/2 cups quick rolled oatmeal

1 cup boiling water

1 teaspoon soda

2 eggs

1 cup flour

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

Pour boiling water over oatmeal and soda.
