At the bottom of the card is written Aurora, Illinois.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup milk

Directions:

1. Melt butter and brown sugar.

2. Boil over slow heat two minutes, stirring constantly.

3. Stir in milk.

4. Stir until mixture comes up to a boil.

5. Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm.

6. Add gradually confectioner’s sugar.

7. Beat until spreading consistency.

8. If icing becomes too stiff, add a little hot water to soften.
