Could this be that caramel icing Mom used on her date cake?

It is a recipe from Mrs. Leslie Bahr.

Ingredients:

1 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup white sugar

3/4 cup cream

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 tablespoon butter

Directions:

1. Mix together and cook to soft ball stage.

2. Cool slightly and cream.

3. Add vanilla and butter.
