1. Heat sour cream to lukewarm in large pan.

2. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, soda and salt.
|
|
3. Crumble yeast into mixture.
|
|
4. Stir until dissolved?
|
|
5. Add egg, shortening and flour.
|
|
6. Mix well.
|
|
7. Turn on floured board and let rise 1/2 hour.
|
|
8. Roll into oblong 24″ x 6″.
|
|
9. Spread with 2 tablespoons butter.
|
|
10. Sprinkle 1/2 of dough with mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon.

|
11. Fold other half over.
|
|
12. Cut into 1″ strips.
|
|
13. Hold strips at both ends and twist.
|
|
14. Place on greased baking sheet.
|
|
15. Cover and let rise 1 hour.
|
|
16. Bake 12-15 minutes at 375 degrees.
