Summary:

Dad liked a cup of hot buttered rum on a cold night.

Ingredients:

1 pound butter

2 pounds brown sugar

3 eggs

1 teaspoon nutmeg

1 teaspoon cloves

1 teaspoon allspice

rum, to serve

boiling water, to serve

cinnamon, to sprinkle

Directions:

1. Melt butter. Pour over spices. Beat eggs with fork. Mix for 15 minutes in mixer.

2. To serve: 1 jigger of rum, 1 tablespoon of mixture and add boiling water to fill mug. Stir well and sprinkle with cinnamon.
